These are challenging times and everywhere we go, across the U.S., the challenges are the same.  From banking and insurance, automotive to retail, home building and beyond; we’re all looking for ways to survive these tough times.  Our challenge is to provide builders with solutions that will help them increase sales and create emotional appeal.  One of our solutions is a new product called “the essentials”. 

It is a value engineered design package that addresses all the needs of traditional model merchandising at a greatly reduced cost.  Over the past few years we saw budgets across the country ranging from $26-$35 per square foot.  In response to the tough market conditions this pricing has dropped approximately 15%- 25% this past year.  The essentials package takes this a step further and can save builders up to 40% over a traditional model package.

Our approach is based on our many years of experience with model merchandising and being able to create a home that will target the lifestyle of the buyer.  Starting with the buyer profile and the floor plan we assess the house and focus on essential areas that we determine create the most emotional appeal for the buyer.   Working in concert with the builder we then determine which areas are most important and focus the merchandising there.   The buyers can then be led visually through the home following a series of focal walls and areas of interest.  The overall design process has been streamlined for maximum impact at minimal cost.   To further the savings we select an appropriate color scheme and send the builder suggestions for direction on the finishes, but leave the actual selection process to his staff.   Costly built-ins are also eliminated unless the builder has pre-designed items he’d like to offer his buyers.   Custom window treatments are still included, tailored to the color scheme and design style of the house.

After “the essentials” package is created, we deliver it to the builder and fully install it to be sure they receive the quality installation we’re famous for.
