Meet Our Team

We’re a national interior design company that performs like a firm twice our size. This means we get to know you pretty well, and you can count on us to deliver on time and on budget, no matter where you are located in the United States.

Doris Pearlman

President and Founder

You might say that design is in Doris Pearlman’s DNA. Growing up as the child of a textile designer in New York, she remembers foreign fashion magazines as bedtime tales, and all things design as routine topics around the dinner table. Seemingly a pre-destined designer, Doris actually graduated with a degree in Education. After teaching fifth grade for a split second, she made a bee-line back to the world of design.

Opening her own residential design firm in Denver was a start, but the second she stepped into a model home, she knew designing individual residences was not her passion... Creating homes from the ground up was much more exciting! She remembers the designer of the first model home she visited: Bev Trupp of Color Design Art. Based in L.A. Bev’s ability to design and build a brand captured Doris’ attention. Today, under Doris’ leadership, Possibilities for Design is one of the most-awarded interior design firms for developers and home builders in the country.

“To this day, I love every single part of what we do. My happiest design moment is walking into a finished model or commercial space and being enamored with the lifestyle and design that the Possibilities team has created.”

John Limiero

Vice President, Commercial Design

Over the 28 years John has been with Possibilities, he has created a nationally successful commercial studio. Solving technical crises with ease, directing commercial design and heading remodels with flair—John is irreplaceable. His ability to redesign challenged spaces into fresh, new functions is his strong suit. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Colorado State University, John knew he wanted to be a designer since he was 11. His inspiration? Fantastical architecture that defies common sense and captures the imagination. Zen place? Creating and cultivating, of course. And his hidden talent: he’s ambidextrous! Which comes in handy on installs…

Stacy Tingle

Director, Residential Design

With Possibilities for an impressive 24 years, our incredible Director of Residential Design, Stacy, first dipped her toes into the world of design as a teenager when her parents asked her to help select finishes for their new home. That creative freedom was the spark that eventually led her to the Art Institute of Colorado, earning her degree in Interior Design. Rest assured, her work as a designer doesn’t stop at 5:00PM. Stacy and her husband recently remodeled their entire home, inside and out, which she describes as a labor of love— emphasis on the labor. A local building that inspires her is the old-brick stadium, Coors Field, which she adores almost as much as the Rockies themselves.

Cyndi Burkhart

Vice President, Finance

Cyndi is the light in our office. And, luckily, her unique love of numbers and design collided when she joined our Possibilities family in 2011. Having studied both Accounting and Interior Design at the University of Kentucky, she gets the best of both worlds at Possibilities! When she’s not crunching numbers, being the HR liaison, or planning exciting events for the office, she’s camping, attending concerts, and spending time with her husband, son and neighborhood friends. Her hidden talent? ‘Name That Tune’!

Dawn Duhamel

Vice President, Business Development

You’d be hard pressed to find someone who knows as much about home building as our very own Dawn. In the industry since the start of her career, she brings an unprecedented angle to our team. Her favorite part of the design process is the beginning. “Who are we targeting, and how can we connect with them? I like understanding the why behind the wow.” What we love most about Dawn is her ability to make us laugh, radiate positivity, and constantly find new ways to make our Possibilities family closer.

Although she is an active Coloradan through and through – catch her at the next Bolder Boulder – she is an East Coast girl at heart. Born and raised in Maryland, this Indiana University alum can twirl a baton, chair a council dedicated to women in building, sit on national committees, and publish a book!

Don’t hesitate to reach out for a coffee date (she knows all the best local spots) if you want to learn more about her role at Possibilities.

DESIGN STAFF

Lindsay Huhn

Project Manager

For over 17 years, Lindsay has kept us smiling and laughing with her effervescent wit and easy-going personality. And her new baby boy, Spencer, follows suite, filling our office with the most adorable laugh and smile!

Usually the last to leave the office, her hard work shines through in the projects she leads. Since the age of seven, she knew she wanted to be a designer, and headed straight for Possibilities when she graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado with her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. She has worn many hats over the years, including marketing! We couldn’t be happier to have her part of our Possibilities family, as one of our earliest senior designers.

On the weekends, you can find her gardening, hiking, camping with her growing family, or strolling with Spencer and her dog, Boo.

Elisa Zenger

Project Manager

We’re so lucky we’ve had Elisa at Possibilities for over a decade. This Utah State University alum found her passion for interior design while on a Colorado Parade of Homes Tour her sophomore year in college. She was struck by a memory point in one of the homes on the tour—a black Possibilities for Design bag in one of the closets. She thought it was an intriguing name for a company, and that memory stuck with her as she began to explore classes in interior design. Little did she know that six years later, she’d be a designer at that very company. Elisa’s positivity exudes throughout our office and her ability to create harmonious spaces is captivating.

Kelsi Holwagner

Senior Designer

Kelsi is our old soul. Lover of vintage music, the outdoors, cooking, and snowboarding, her affable nature is hard not to love. Not to mention, Kelsi's space planning and merchandising talents were on display as soon as she could plug Sims into her CD-ROM, which led her to earning her degree in Interior Design from North Dakota State University.

Fun fact: she recently helped build a passive solar earth shelter in Pueblo, CO, made of both natural and up-cycled materials. The hard manual labor and new knowledge of self-sustaining systems fuels her passion as an eco-conscious designer – and we love her unique perspective!

Kelsey Herncjar

Senior Designer

Kelsey is our sweet Chicago native and Interior Architect from Columbia College. While most kids grew up playing house, Kelsey was busy rearranging her parents' home into different space plans or spending countless hours designing houses in Sims. Needless to say, her favorite part of interior design today is space planning, selecting FF&E, and being able to problem solve in a creative way. Music that inspires her to create? Alt-J and Hozier. When she's not working, she's out playing with her adorable Goldendoodle or searching for new sour beers to try in one of Denver's countless breweries~

Jessica Steele

Senior Designer

Our recent newlywed! Jessica is a Colorado State University alum with a Bachelor’s in Interior Design. Not only is she a blossoming senior designer, but she also just finished the process of redesigning her first ever home: a 1950s charmer with an eclectic Midcentury Modern makeover. She loves all parts of design—space planning, integrating the perfect mix of colors, and creating a place that feels like home. But that’s not all there is to know… Jessica taught, performed and competed in Swing Dancing for over ten years, which might be the reason she’s always so upbeat!

Kristen Tally

Designer

Midwest to the mountains - In 2015, our ball of energy (and new mom!), Kristen, traded the rolling hills of Kansas for the Rockies and has been with Possibilities ever since. Earning her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Kansas, Kristen’s previous role as our Marketing Manager fueled her fervor for design. Between time spent living in four different countries, studying art and architecture, and working for Possibilities, Kristen has unearthed her true passion. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2021 with her Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design, and we couldn’t be more excited for her to finally shine as a designer.

When she isn’t working, you can find her cooking & cocktailing with her husband and friends, boating in Missouri, camping in the mountains, snuggling her Shepherd-Collie, Rooney, or racing down Vail’s slopes. (Keep First-Aid on stand-by, though!)

Kortney Clark

Purchasing Agent

Kortney is an absolute all-star. In her seven years with Possibilities, she has successfully championed the intensity and challenges of purchasing. And, to top it all off, she is a new mom to beautiful Addison! So grateful to have her onboard, as she has an uncanny ability to juggle and manage our numerous installs and orders on a tight schedule. Having graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Elementary Education, her newfound love for the design industry has been an exciting chapter, one we hope continues to keep her with us for years to come.

Payton Bess

Marketing Manager

Coming to us from the University of Colorado Boulder, with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Anthropology, we're very happy to introduce our former purchasing agent turned marketing manager, Payton! A self-proclaimed HGTV addict, Payton is excited to be working in the interior design industry. Her latest personal design project was creating a Look Book for a client when she was a stylist. For us, she is an essential part to delivering each stellar job. Secret talent? She’s a very attentive plant mom. Ideal weekend? Skiing on a powder day in the mountains with her family, then curling up to watch My Fair Lady.

Laura Thomas

Designer

Southern sweetheart, Laura, comes to us from Texas where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Texas Tech. She knew from a young age that interior design was her end all be all—heightened by the genuine love of the industry her professors demonstrated. She brings a unique perspective to our team having worked in commercial design. Her last project before moving to the Rockies was designing a Spanish, open-kitchen style restaurant, adorned with custom light fixtures and a gorgeous mix of terra cotta tiles and warm woods. Already accustomed to a Colorado lifestyle, she and her fiancé spend their free time camping, hiking and venturing State Parks with their rescue pup!

Meryem Pierce

Designer

Born and raised in dazzling Istanbul, Turkey, Meryem moved to California in 2011 with her husband (a Colorado native) who was being re-stationed in the military. Coming from a family of builders and designers, she promptly enrolled in the Design Institute of San Diego, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design in 2015.

They were soon relocated, again, this time to Odessa, Texas, where she felt the void of California and Istanbul’s beauty and adventure. One day, she made a compelling argument that Colorado could be their forever home – and without hesitation – her family bee-lined for Denver. We are so happy Meryem’s path led her to Possibilities! Her luster for life and new experiences gives her the perfect joie de vivre and drive as a designer.

On the weekends, you can find her revving up her power tools for DIY projects, being a green thumb, and cooking~

Emmalyne Axtell

Designer

Newly minted CSU Interior Architecture and Design alum, Emmalyne, has been the perfect addition to our design team. Familiar in AutoCAD since the age of 10 (!!) and having worked as a graphic designer and artist at CSU - while taking interior design courses - she is a maven in the realm of design software. Whether drafting in Revit, painting murals she created in Illustrator, or perfecting a space plan in AutoCAD, her favorite part of the design process is watching ideas unfold into something wonderful.

Gathering inspiration from nature, Emmalyne’s work derives from a Biophilic point-of-view. “The various natural patterns and colors fascinate me,” she says. Going on to explain how incredible it is when nature incorporated in interiors has such a positive effect on us both mentally and physically.

When she’s not working, you can "naturally" find her hiking, painting, enjoying a book, or at the archery range!

Lizzy Lee

AutoCAD Drafter

Like most of our designers, Lizzy grew up with the instinct she’d be an interior designer someday. Denver born and raised, she attained her degree in Interior Design from Heritage College and is now our prized AutoCAD Drafter. When she’s off the clock, you can find her playing with her dogs, furnishing her new home, hosting game nights with friends, or owning a game of volleyball. Favorite movie? Princess of the Bride. Favorite Colorado building? The Sculptured House in Genesee. Hidden talent? She can stand/walk on her tip toes (which is more impressive considering she’s 6 feet tall!) Welcome to the team, Lizzy Lee.

Candace Robinson

Accounts Payable

The newest addition to our Possibilities family comes to us from a small Texas town, moving to Denver six years ago when her husband transferred for a job. A country girl and self-proclaimed “homebody” at heart, she finds herself retreating to the outdoors whenever possible, exploring small mountain towns, running trails, hiking with her dogs, and taking care of her sweet new baby boy.

Amongst her strengths in crunching numbers and proofreading, she’s also a talented singer - and can yodel! - performing at weddings, corporate parties, and singing the National Anthem at Veterans’ Balls. Being in the world of design is a new chapter for Candace, one we know she’ll love!

Christina Fritschel

Designer Assistant

All roads lead back to Possibilities, it seems! Especially for Christina, who worked as our Designer for ten years before venturing out and starting her own business over a decade ago. Now, looking for a slower pace and an optimal work/life balance, she is back with her Possibilities fam working part-time as a Designer Assistant. She is a true lifesaver in this crazy post-pandemic environment and we couldn't be happier to have her back!

Ken Houston

Warehouse Manager

What started out as a favor for a friend, turned into Ken becoming our diligent Warehouse Manager of over a decade now. Ken’s ability to organize, maintain, and supervise our enormous Denver warehouse comes from years of organizational experience, along with a Masters in Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics and Masters in HVAC Sheet Metal Layout. Ken is endlessly learning new skills and finding new hobbies. In his off hours, you can find him designing and building his own personal work shop, rocking out to 80s ballads, or riding his motorcycle through the Rockies.

Capabilities

Our process begins with extensive research and questioning into every aspect of the community. What is the relationship between housing and landscape? What is the community USP? What materials and architectural styles are at play? And, perhaps most important of all, how does the community serve the dreams of its future inhabitants? We develop a specific buyer profile that allows us to tailor our design accordingly.
